We Have Found A HOME!!!!!
We have a new home in Birmingham, AL….and we’ve changed our names to Maude & Abel, and we are so happy. Thanks to everyone that helped us in our adoption search, especially the people at “A Welcome Home Animal Rescue” that took care of our first two Vet visits (and of course Jeanne who fostered us for 2 months and got very attached to us)!
Here’s the story of two lucky little kitties. Well, they are lucky now because an animal lover found them. Our temporary names are Twix & Spatula, but we’d be happy to have new names if you can find room in your heart and home for us. They were born around the 1st of May in an art studio ceiling and somehow Twix (a little girl) got out of that original birthplace, but poor little Spatula (a little boy) got stuck in the wall!
“I kept hearing this tiny little noise, but thought it was coming from outside my studio. One set of meows was outside the structure, but one was inside the wall. The one very load meow was coming from Twix and he kept coming to a spot outside my studio and I could hear a weaker meow, and thought I must be going nuts, how could a cat be IN the wall?Well sure enough Twix was trying to soothe its sibling and showing us were Spatula was located in the wall. We got astethoscope and made an educated guess on where to being sawing through the drywall to rescue this little guy. It took two tries and two 8” x 10” holes, removing insulation and luring the little kitty out with food, then at last, success! Next step, capture Twix and get the two kittens re-united. They were so happy to be together again that we hope they can find a home and stay together forever! The mother cat has abandoned them. They are getting more and more used to us as we feed and water them and are even figuring out how to use the littler box! Smart, cute, lucky little critters.
They have had their 1st vet visit today, thanks to “A Welcome Home Animal Rescue” and got a clean bill of health, and are ready for adoption. FYI_Update: 2nd vet visit was fantastic and they are ready to go!
Please pass this along to help them find a good home. They cannot stay with me as I live in a tiny little cottage and only have room for my sweet little rescue kitty that I took in a year ago. They will steal your heart away and bring you many years of happiness, I just know it!
Leave a message here if you or anyone you know might be willing to take these two into their home, and please they must be kept indoors…
